When a nursing home, residential care service or day nursery comes to us with a vacancy, the same consultant stays with it from the first conversation to the start date. No handovers, no re-briefing a different account manager halfway through. Here is what those four stages actually involve.
Stage 01 — We learn your service
A consultant visits or calls to understand the setting, the team, the shifts or ratios you genuinely struggle to cover, and the compliance requirements you work to — whether that's CQC or Ofsted.
- The role, the hours and the pay band
- Qualifications and compliance requirements
- Team culture and who tends to stay
Stage 02 — We source and screen
Our own networks first, then targeted advertising. Every candidate is interviewed by a specialist before you see a CV, so what reaches you has already been filtered by someone who understands the sector.
- Database and referral networks
- Telephone and video screening
- Right to work, DBS and registration verified
Stage 03 — We present a real shortlist
Two or three candidates, with a written assessment of each — where they fit, where the risks sit, and what they're expecting on pay and notice. An honest shortlist you can act on, not a stack of CVs to sift through.
- Full CV plus consultant's assessment
- Availability and notice period
- Salary expectation stated upfront
Stage 04 — We see it through
Interviews arranged and both sides prepped, offer terms negotiated, references chased and the compliance pack completed before day one. Then we stay in contact through the first months in post.
- Interviews booked and candidates briefed
- Offer negotiated and resignation managed
- Check-ins after the start date
That's the whole process. If you'd like to talk through a vacancy, get in touch or call 01256 648 700.
